West Liberty-Salem school board members Tuesday during a regular meeting discussed building project plans, and approved creation of a part-time staff aide position.
The board is discussing four prospective building models offered by the Ohio Schools Facilities Commission to carry out the renovation of the school’s K-12 building. Board members are leaning toward a plan that involves bringing in a construction manager that would be tasked with overseeing construction of the entire project.
That extra accountability would help prevent the building project from falling behind, board members reason.
The OSFC project is the topic of a special meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday. Action will be taken at that meeting, including resolutions approving bond sales.
