Indian Lake Schools’ Board of Education at a regular meeting Monday approved co-chairmen and a treasurer for its campaign to renew an upcoming operating levy with an increase.
Indian Lake-area residents Scott Duff and Bryan Meadows will head up the citizens’ committee to help the school renew an expiring levy with an additional 1.6 mills on Nov. 5.
“We’re very excited to have them on as co-chairs for our levy campaign,” Superintendent Pat O’Donnell said. “Both of these gentlemen have always been strong supporters of Indian Lake Schools.”
If the renewal and increase pass, the levy would raise $2,789,500 per year. It would cost a property valued at $100,000 about $227.50 per year — an extra $56 compared to the existing operating levy.
