Residents in West Mansfield and Rushsylvania who have signed up to receive natural gas service with All American Energy Cooperative will receive a letter in the mail in the coming week detailing the steps required before a natural gas meter can be installed.
Among the requirements: One appliance must be installed and ready to light; all piping must be tested by a plumber to prevent possible leaks; and all gas appliances must be vented in accordance with the Natural Gas Fuel Code.
All American Energy will not permit any plastic, copper, brass or aluminum pipe or tubing; galvanized pipe or quick disconnect fittings.
“A professional plumber will understand each of these steps,” according to the letter.
