Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office met Wednesday evening with Stacey M. Turner, 17, and her family members at 148 W. Center St., West Mansfield.
Stacey had been reported missing Sunday by her aunt and was found unharmed Tuesday afternoon during a traffic stop in Jackson, Mo.
The East Liberty resident had been traveling with Codey Tevis, 18, of Bellefontaine. The teens reportedly had been texting each other the previous evening.
Stacey’s family traveled to Missouri to pick her up and brought her back to Logan County, deputies said.
After discussions with family members, Stacey was charged with persistent disorderly conduct and was transported to the Logan County Juvenile Detention Center.
Deputies have sent information to the Logan County Prosecutor’s Office to review charges against Mr. Tevis.
