Man jailed for CPO violation



Jason W. Clevenger, 31, of 645 S. Township Road 33, Bellefontaine, was charged with a civil protection order violation shortly after midnight Monday.

Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office were contacted by Heather Camper, who had filed the CPO against Mr. Clevenger Sept. 3.

A part of the arrangements of the CPO was that Mr. Clevenger was ordered to vacate the pair’s shared residence. Ms. Camper said Mr. Clevenger was still living there.

Deputies went to the home and located the defendant hiding under a blanket in a bedroom closet. He was transported to the Logan County Jail.

Disorderly conduct charges filed

Michael E. Arledge, 54, of 1084 S. Township Road 32, Bellefontaine, was charged with disorderly conduct Sunday evening.

Deputies responded to his address about 7:20 p.m. after receiving a report from a family member who was concerned about him. He reportedly was very intoxicated and had been making threats.

Mr. Arledge was located outside his home lying on the ground. Deputies noted that his eyes were glassy and bloodshot. He was transported to the Logan County Jail for his own safety.

• William Kyle, 54, of 411 E. Newell St., West Liberty, was charged with disorderly conduct early Sunday morning after an incident in Lakeview.

Deputies were dispatched to the area of U.S. Route 33 and State Route 235 about 12:50 a.m. in reference to an assault. When they arrived, they found Mr. Kyle standing near the roadway and that he showed signs of intoxication.

The defendant reportedly had a flashlight in his hand and swung it at deputies. He was arrested and was transported to the Logan County Jail.
