Ben Logan student artwork selected for conference

The Student Art Auction Committee for the Ohio Association for Gifted Children Conference has selected the artwork of Benjamin Logan High School students Maisey Woodrum, Sabrielle Davidson, Haley Baker and William Kennedy for inclusion in the 11th Annual Susan Faulkner Fine Arts Exhibition and Auction.

See the students' artwork below

The artwork selected demonstrates advanced work for students of each particular grade level with regard to originality, craftsmanship, design, composition, technical skills, uniqueness, and creativity. Maisey is a freshman, while Sabrielle is a sophomore, Haley is a junior and William is a senior.

The students will be recognized at a Meet the Artists Reception at 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 22, at the Hilton Columbus at Easton. A presentation will be made by a guest artist and judge, who will share insights about careers in art and then award a scholarship to three student artists.

Student artwork will be sold at a silent auction during the OAGC Conference. Students will receive one half of the sale price and the rest of the proceeds are donated to the OAGC Scholarship Fund, which allows students to participate in programs and events for gifted children throughout the year.
