KENTON — Rodney and Becky Miller, owners of M.E. Theatres for the past 20 years, turned over control of the Kenton Theatre Friday, the Kenton Times reports.

James and Sheri Curlis of Forest have purchased the theater. The Curlises also purchased the Ada Theatre from the Millers in December 2011.
The Millers — also owners the Hi-Road Drive-In on U.S. Route 68 north of Kenton, and Elder Theatre in Jackson Center — have been looking to downsize for some time.
The Kenton Theatre, which they purchased in 1993, has been on the market since 2008, the couple said.
The theater will be closed after Friday for two to three weeks, while the new owners make the changeover to digital movie projectors.
