The year 1963 was not only a watershed in the Civil Rights Movement, another cultural revolution also took place that year, and the Holland Theatre is preparing to mark the anniversary.
The Nashville-based band the WannaBeatles, consisting of, from left, Bryan Cumming, David Toledo, Dennis Scott and Nathan Burbank, will mark the Beatles’ 50th anniversary with a 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, performance at the Holland Theatre.
It also was the year that Beatles Mania swept through the United Kingdom and made its way across the Atlantic Ocean to the United States.
And the Nashville-based band the WannaBeatles, which has a local connection, will make its first appearance before an audience here at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7.
“Put on your seat belts, it’s going to be a rocking ride,” said band member Dennis Scott, whose wife, Lori, is a Bellefontaine native. “This being the 50th anniversary of the Beatles music, it is very appropriate to play there now.”
