Among the many changes this school year for Bellefontaine City Schools includes an administrator moving into the role of high school principal. Board of education members took action at their Monday evening meeting to approve Bill Badenhop for the position.
The former district business manager was extended a four-year contract effective Aug. 1. His salary will remain at $94,345 for the lateral move into the new position.
Mr. Badenhop, who has worked for BCS for 17 years, fills the position vacated when former high school principal Christine Galvin moved into the executive director of instruction position this summer.
Superintendent Beth Harman will assume the business manager duties for the district, she said.
