Lakeview woman injured in crash near Roundhead

ROUNDHEAD — A Lakeview woman was injured when her motorcycle struck a dog near Roundhead Wednesday evening.

Troopers of the Findlay Post of the Ohio State Highway report Lori K. Herring, 49, was southbound on County Road 25 south of State Route 385 about 8 p.m. when a stray dog entered the roadway and darted in front of her vehicle.

Mrs. Herring struck the dog and lost control of her motorcycle. Her husband, Jeffrey L. Herring, 53, was able to avoid striking the dog with his motorcycle, but drove off the left side of the roadway and lost control after sliding across a gravel driveway.

Mrs. Herring was taken by the Upper Scioto Valley EMS to Lima Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Mr. Herring had no injuries. The dog was killed.

Roundhead Fire Deprtment, Hardin County Sheriff’s Office and Wren’s Towing assisted at the scene.
