Jason S. Meyers, 39, of 328 Garfield Ave., was arrested for felonious assault after he allegedly beat his wife, Patricia, around 10 a.m. Saturday.
Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department met with the victim and her mother, Barbara Powell around 5 p.m. in the emergency room of Mary Rutan Hospital. She had a blackened left eye; bruising on her elbows, knees and inside her upper left arm; and complained of a sore neck and a severe headache.
She said he beat her after she stayed the night at her mother’s home.
She was later transported to the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center for treatment of a fractured vertebra in her neck.
Officers reached the suspect by telephone and he came in for questioning. He was charged and lodged in the Logan County Jail.
