Two tractor-trailers, a passenger van and possibly several other trucks all hit low hanging wires in the 1300 block of west Sandusky Avenue around 3 p.m. Monday with one of the semis becoming entangled in the wires.

Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department report its driver was unable to stop and pulled down two Dayton Power & Light Co. poles.
It was not known why the lines were hanging low, officers report.
The utility wires included phone, cable and power lines.
Personnel from the Bellefontaine Fire and EMS Department helped close down the street to enable DP&L crews to cut and remove the lines and then reset the damaged poles.
CenturyLink and Time Warner Cable were notified of the service interruption.
No citations were issued.

Truck hauling oversize load strikes utility lines
Troopers of the Marysville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to a report of a truck hauling an oversize load that struck utility lines Monday afternoon on State Route 47 near the West Mansfield village limit.
Jim Rice, 50, of West Mansfield, reportedly was operating a westbound truck hauling a grain bin about 12:45 p.m. when the vehicle traveled under utility lines and pulled down a utility pole.
No citations were issued and no injuries were reported.
