Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report a 13-year-old Lakeview boy was charged with domestic violence and criminal damaging after an incident at his home Thursday.

Deputies responded to his address about 6 p.m. in reference to an unruly juvenile.

They spoke with his family members, who said that the boy had choked his younger sibling and damaged the home. The boy also reportedly struck the younger sibling in the head with a belt buckle and in the back with a metal pole.

Deputies noticed a red mark on the younger child’s neck.

The 13-year-old also had used a baseball bat to destroy items inside and outside the house, including a window.

The defendant had left the home, and deputies spoke with several neighbors, who reported seeing the boy strike another residence with the baseball bat.

The boy was located at his grandparents’ house and was transported to the Logan County Juvenile Detention Center.
