Bellefontaine Beat: Two arrested in parking lot

Two people were arrested around 1 a.m. today after officers responded to a report of a shirtless man lying on the pavement yelling.

Jaimez Derrek Colt Sells, 19, of Mechanicsburg, was charged with open container of alcohol, underage consumption of alcohol and unlawful possession of certain weapons.

Merissa Johnson, 24, of 500 Gunntown Road, Apt. H8, was served a warrant for failure to appear.

Both were found in her car with the male sitting in the front passenger seat.

Officers found a nearly empty bottle of liquor in the front console and an empty beer bottle along with a wooden club under Mr. Sells’ seat in a car.

Both were lodged in the Logan County Jail.

Women face charges

Two women were charged Monday after an 11:45 p.m. disturbance at 324 W. Sandusky Ave.

Shayla R. Rockhold, 19, of 324 W. Sandusky Ave., was charged with underage consumption, while Jessika Lowe, 20, of 324 W. Sandusky Ave., Apt. A, was charged with obstructing official business and underage consumption of alcohol.

Ms. Lowe walked away from the residence after officers told her to wait on the front porch while they investigated the disturbance.
