Patricia A. Hammond, 54, of 785 S. County Road 5, Zanesfield, and her neighbor, Susan Stover, 39, of 747 S. C.R. 5, Zanesfield, each was issued a summons for disorderly conduct Tuesday evening after an argument over landscaping.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded to Ms. Hammond’s residence about 9:15 p.m. She reported that she was completing yard work and landscaping that evening along her property line when she was approached by her neighbor, Ms. Stover, and Ms. Stover’s daughter, Jaedyn Ford, 15.
Ms. Hammond said the woman and teen physically attacked her and alleged that she had been choked and punched. Deputies observed redness to her arms and her face, and she also sustained injury to her leg and toe, but declined medical treatment.
During the confrontation, she admitted that she bit Ms. Stover.
Deputies then responded to the neighboring residence. Ms. Stover reported that she and her daughter talked with Ms. Hammond to tell her not to landscape on their property.
She said the other woman became verbally abusive and started using profanity. Ms. Stover admitted to throwing an edging brick into Ms. Hammond’s yard, and then Ms. Hammond reportedly slapped Jaedyn and knocked over Ms. Stover.
Ms. Stover had sustained scratches and a bite mark on her arm, and also reportedly was missing a crown on one of her teeth.
