An adult male and a 17-year-old girl were issued charges early this morning after the girl was reported missing by her family overnight.
Deputies responded to 1409 County Road 130, Bellefontaine, about 4:45 a.m. to speak with the family of the girl, Lisa M. Mellum. The family members said Lisa had been gone overnight, and they suspected she might be at the residence of Alexander Aburto, 21, of 220 S. Park St.
Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department responded to that address, and at first, no one answered the door. Dispatchers called Mr. Aburto’s phone, and he told them that Lisa was not at his residence.
He then opened his door to talk with officers and said he hadn’t seen Lisa.
Shortly thereafter, Lisa returned home to her residence. She said she had been with Mr. Aburto that evening.
Mr. Aburto was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor and obstructing official business and was transported to the Logan County Jail.
Lisa was charged with disorderly conduct and was transported to the Logan County Juvenile Detention Center.
