Four people were transported to area hospitals following a two-vehicle, injury crash about 11:55 a.m. Saturday at U.S. Route 33 and County Road 57.
A sport utility vehicle, above, and car, below, were involved in an injury crash around noon Saturday at U.S. Route 33 and County Road 57.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report an eastbound vehicle operated by Keith D. Brown, 55, of Lima, had stopped at the stop sign on C.R. 57 at U.S. 33 and then proceeded into the intersection. He crossed the eastbound lanes of U.S. 33 and then collided with a vehicle in the westbound lanes operated by Wiley J. Salyers, 68, of Lawrenceville, Ga.
Two passengers in the Brown vehicle, Cindy Brown, 54, and Jennifer Brown, 35, both of Lima, each was transported by CareFlight helicopter to OSU Wexner Medical Center in Columbus for incapacitating injuries.
Mr. Salyers and his passenger, Rhonda Salyers, 61, also of Lawrenceville, were transported by Robinaugh squad to Mary Rutan Hospital for possible injuries. Mr. Brown and another passenger, Brianna Mullen, 13, of Lima, reported possible injuries, but were not transported.
Mr. Brown was cited for failure to yield. All occupants in both vehicles reportedly were wearing their seat belts.
