2 transported to hospital after Union County crash

MARYSVILLE — Troopers of the Marysville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol are investigating a two-vehicle serious injury crash that occurred Tuesday afternoon on Raymond Road north of Baker Road in Union County.

Beverly D. Turner, 49, of Raymond, reportedly was operating a northbound pickup about 3:15 p.m. when she traveled off the right side of the road and struck a mailbox. She then drove back onto the roadway and went left of center into the path of a southbound pickup operated by Aaron M. Hamilton, 38, of Richwood.

Both drivers were transported by Marysville EMS to Memorial Hospital of Union County in Marysville, and then both Ms. Turner and Mr. Hamilton were subsequently transported by squad to OSU Wexner Medical Center in Columbus.

Ms. Turner’s injuries were considered life-threatening, while Mr. Hamilton’s injuries were considered non-lifethreatening.

Seat belt usage is unknown at this time, and alcohol is not suspected as a factor in the crash.
