Troopers report Kaitlin Holt, 18, of Botkins, was stopped in traffic on C.R. 191 while waiting to make a left turn into a private drive when the 2009 Nissan Versa she was driving was struck in the rear by a southeast bound 2009 Dodge Stratus.

The Stratus' driver, 18-year-old Andrew Linkmeyer of Botkins, was transported by Liberty Township squad with possible injuries to Memorial Hospital of Union County in Marysville. He was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead.

Neither Ms. Holt, who was wearing a seat belt, nor the passengers in her vehicle — a 16-year-old female and a 14-year-old male — reported any injuries.

Damage was functional to the Stratus and minor to the Versa.

Details about a second crash handled by the local patrol post Friday were not immediately available. Check back at examiner.org for updates.
