A southbound car operated by William Lockwood, 16, of West Mansfield, reportedly failed to yield from a stop sign on County Road 12 at S.R. 47 and struck the school bus. He also is a Benjamin Logan student.
Neither Ms. Noble nor William reported any injuries, and they remained on the scene.
Nine bus passengers were transported by squad to the hospital, reportedly for injuries including soreness in the shoulders or neck, troopers said. Emergency responders included Rushcreek, Bokescreek, Perry Township and Bellefontaine squads.
Another student was transported by a parent to the hospital for a concussion-related injury.
Injured bus passengers ranged in age from 8 to 16, troopers report.
A passenger in the Lockwood vehicle, Jayde Anderson, 16, of Bellefontaine, also was transported to Mary Rutan Hospital for minor injuries. A second juvenile passenger in the vehicle did not report any injuries.
Another school bus arrived at the scene to transport the children who did not need medical treatment.
