Mr. Parmer, 20, sustained injuries to his knees and left arm. He was taken to Mary Rutan Hospital for treatment.

Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department noted the victim was obviously intoxicated and charged him with underage consumption of alcohol.

The suspect left in a car and was stopped in the 500 block of west Columbus Avenue. A pipe used for smoking marijuana was found in his clothing at the Logan County Jail.

Driver charged

Christopher Lee, 25, of 4666 County Road 35, DeGraff, was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and cited for not using headlights after a traffic stop around 2:35 a.m. Friday at Northview Drive and Main Street.

An officer on patrol observed a sport utility vehicle leave Comfort Inn, 260 Northview Drive, without headlights on. The officer reported he flashed his headlights several times, but the motorist did not respond.

Mr. Lee admitted to drinking four beers and told the officer he was “the most sober of all of us,” referring to himself and three female passengers.

He failed field sobriety checks and recorded a 0.111 blood alcohol content level in testing.
