Christopher Hughes, 40, of 424 N. Madriver St., Apt. 1, was charged with resisting arrest and persistent disorderly conduct after officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department were called to the residence around 3:50 a.m. today.
He was agitated and immediately told officers to handcuff him or he was walking off. He continued to yell at officers and they decided to arrest him because of his intoxicated state.
He resisted so officers backed off and drew a Taser. They were able to handcuff him without using it but used it when he fought efforts to put him in the cruiser.
Once at the Logan County Jail, he refused to get out of the cruiser and was forcefully removed by jail staff. He was placed in a restraint chair.
