US68-crash

Mary Powell, 83, of West Liberty, a passenger in the pictured automobile, was transported by Medflight to Grant Medical Center in Columbus for injuries sustained in a two-car crash that occurred about 1:45 p.m. Friday in the 2900 block of U.S. Route 68 near Hi-Point Storage. Troopers of the Marysville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol are investigating the crash, which appeared to have been a rear-end collision. Neither driver, Donald Powell, 88, of West Liberty, and Charity Cordell, 26, of Bellefontaine, nor a passenger in the Cordell car were injured. Damage to both vehicles was disabling. Bellefontaine Fire and EMS and the Macochee Joint Ambulance District assisted. The investigation continues.
