Justices of the Ohio Supreme Court will hear arguments on four pending cases at the Bellefontaine High School Distance Learning Center on April 24.
Last fall, the center hosted a traveling session of the Third District Court of Appeals and it will be used again as the Logan County Courthouse remains closed from damage in last June’s wind storm.
The state supreme court has an off-site court program which enables it to hear cases in front of high school students.
Students from Bellefontaine, Benjamin Logan, Indian Lake and Riverside high schools and Ohio Hi-Point Career Center have been invited to attend.
Arguments will start at 9 a.m.
Students and their teachers have received curriculum material to study, including summaries of the cases to be argued. Local attorneys have teamed with educators at each participating school to explain Ohio’s judicial system and review case materials.
