Police feel that many of the theft- and burglary-related crimes in and around the Urbana area oftentimes have a direct connection to drug abuse crimes, as users seek quick money to trade or sell to illegal drug traffickers for drugs.

Urbana Police ask that anyone with information regarding drug trafficking or abuse crimes to notify police, 652-4350 or at the Urbana Police Drug Tip Hotline, 652-4357.  Callers remain anonymous.
