A daughter’s concerns for her father led authorities to begin looking for Chris Lewis around 8 a.m. Monday.
Within an hour and a half, deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office found him dead inside his sport utility vehicle parked in the 10000 block of north State Route 235.
The death is neither a homicide nor suspicious, according to investigators after reviewing evidence at the scene.
According to officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department, the 49-year-old Bellefontaine man called his daughter and his mother and left messages on their respective phones. He also left letters for both.
Indian Lake EMS also responded to the scene on the north side of Indian Lake, and the Logan County Coroner’s Office was contacted to assist in the investigation.
A cause of death has not been released yet.
