Two people were transported to Mary Rutan Hospital for non-incapacitating injuries following a two-vehicle crash about 4:05 p.m. Saturday on County Road 18 at Township Road 216.
Troopers of the Marysville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol report that Marvin D. Beck, 77, of Huntsville, was operating a southwestbound jeep on T.R. 216 when he stopped at C.R. 18 and then proceeded into the intersection.
The jeep then was struck by a northeastbound pickup operated by James C. Coyer, causing the pickup to drive off the road and strike a guardrail.
Mr. Beck was transported by Macochee squad to the hospital, and Mr. Coyer was transported by Bellefontaine squad. Another passenger in the Beck vehicle did not report any injuries.
Mr. Beck was cited for a stop sign violation.
Troopers report that Mr. Coyer also was tested for drugs and alcohol, and charges are pending following the results of the tests.
Man lodged for felony OVI
Troy Crabtree, 50, of 234 East Harrison Street, Lakeview, was charged with a felony count of operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs following a traffic stop in the city early Sunday morning.
He was stopped at Madriver Street and Columbus Avenue about 2:30 a.m. The driver reportedly has eight prior OVI convictions.
He was lodged in the Logan County Jail.
