2 BHS students qualify for DECA International Competition

Bellefontaine High School seniors Brandon Gasper and Tyler Roberts finished fourth at the recent Ohio DECA Career Development Competition in Columbus, and have qualified to attend the DECA International Career Development Conference April 24-27 in Anaheim, Calif.

At the Ohio conference, the pair presented their Financial Literacy Promotion titled, “THRIVE Financially!”

A total seven other BHS students also placed in the top 10 of their respective events at the Ohio competition.

Seniors Patrick Tarasiewicz, Josh Haisley and Dyllan Laber finished seventh overall in Creative Marketing for the project “Buy Local Logan County.”

The team of seniors Dhaile Ballesteros and Josh Neighoff finished ninth in Entrepreneurship Promotion for their piece, “Find the Sloan in You!”

Junior Kelsie Blair finished ninth in Principles of Marketing, and fellow junior Jessica Miller finished ninth in Apparel and Accessories Marketing.
