Man jailed for public intoxication

Darrel W. Allen, 28, address at large, was charged with public intoxication, aggravated menacing and an open container violation following an incident early Sunday morning.

A deputy of the Logan County Sheriff's Office observed Mr. Allen walking on U.S. Route 68 near the U.S. Route 33 interchange about 12:40 a.m.

The defendant was carrying a cup containing an alcoholic beverage. His eyes reportedly were bloodshot.

When questioned by the deputy, Mr. Allen started to get angry and made threats against the deputy.

He was transported to the Logan County Jail.
