Kenneth S. Mouzon was transported by a Bellefontaine squad to Mary Rutan Hospital to be examined after the 3:40 p.m. incident at the intersection of Main Street and Auburn Avenue.
He was crossing westbound and passed in front of a southbound school bus stopped in the inside lane. He walked into the path of a southbound Honda Pilot operated by James A. Snyder, 37, of Rushsylvania.
Mr. Snyder said he did not have time to stop.
Kenneth told officers he did not see the approaching vehicle.
It appears, based on statements from the driver, victim and witnesses provided to police, that Kenneth started out walking across the wide street while the light was red for southbound traffic. However, the light changed to green before the teen made it across.
No citations have been issued.
