2 transported after crash in DeGraff

Two people were transported by Riverside squad to Mary Rutan Hospital after a crash Friday morning on Miami and Mill Streets in the village of DeGraff.

Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report that Leon C. Day, 16, of Maplewood, was operating a northbound pickup on Mill Street about 7:40 a.m. when he stopped at the intersection. He then proceeded into the intersection and struck a pickup operated by Jamie Holycross, 33, of DeGraff.

Ms. Holycross and a passenger in the Day vehicle, Zachary Brandyberry, 16, of DeGraff, each were transported to the hospital. Mr. Day did not report any injuries.

Damage was disabling to both vehicles.

Mr. Day was cited for failure to yield from a stop sign.

• Catherine Conrado, 56, of Lakeview, was cited for a stop sign violation after a crash about 9:50 a.m. Saturday at U.S. Route 33 and Stephenson Street in Lakeview.

She reportedly was operating a vehicle on Stephenson Street and stopped at the stop sign at U.S. 33. She then proceeded into the intersection and was struck by a northwestbound car on U.S. 33 operated by Aubrey Homan, 29, of St. Marys.

Both drivers were treated at the scene by Indian Lake squad members, but were not transported.
