Employees charged with months of thefts

Justin L. Worrell, 19, of 6301 State Route 540, and Jesse A. Daniels, 24, of 450 Kristina Drive, Apt. 11F, each was charged Thursday with theft after security at Wal-Mart, 2281 S. Main St., reported the duo had been responsible for about $4,000 in thefts over several months.

Thus far, the store has been able to document some of the thefts by the two employees.

According to police reports, Mr. Worrell was the cashier for 18 transactions involving Mr. Daniels and Mr. Daniels was cashier on 21 transactions involving Mr. Worrell.

The two fraudulently voided sales, gave improper cost reductions or failed to scan items and then bagging the goods reports allege.

Both were lodged in the Logan County Jail.
