Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded to the restaurant Thursday morning to speak with employees, who reported that the outdoor walk-in freezer had been entered overnight.

The freezer door had been pried open, and the lock, hinges and freezer seal were damaged.

Missing items from the freezer included pizza dough, cheese, French fries, bacon, chicken and mushrooms.

Employees said Mr. Rayles had been at the business Wednesday evening until 11:30 p.m.

He was arrested Friday, and he admitted to climbing over a fence on the property after the restaurant had closed and then breaking into an outside freezer by using a pair of tin snips. Mr. Rayles said he only took several packages of bacon.

The defendant was transported to the Logan County Jail.
