CORRECTION: Lakeview man charged with rape

Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Lakeview area man Monday evening for one count of rape.

Gurwinder Singh, 25, reportedly resides and works at the Marathon Fueling Plaza, 12500 N. State Route 235, Lakeview, which is also where the alleged rape took place.

About 9:20 p.m. Monday, deputies received a report from the 24-year-old female victim about the incident.

The victim was transported to Mary Rutan Hospital for treatment.

The defendant was arrested and transported to the Logan County Jail.

Deputies continue to investigate this incident.
