Minor injuries reported in crashes

Misty Fullenkamp, 28, of West Liberty, was transported by Macochee squad to Mary Rutan Hospital for non-incapacitating injuries sustained in a crash Sunday morning on U.S. Route 68 north of West Liberty.

Troopers of the Marysville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol report she was operating a northbound minivan about 10:30 a.m. when she took evasive action to avoid a stopped northbound vehicle that was turning into McKee’s Creek Chapel Church, 4750 S. U.S. Route 68, West Liberty.

Ms. Fullenkamp’s minivan then drove off the right side of the road, struck a utility pole and glanced off a pine tree.

A 13-year-old passenger in her vehicle did not report any injuries.

The driver was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead.

• Jerome Walker, 68, of Bellefontaine, was transported by Macochee squad to Mary Rutan Hospital for minor injuries following a one-vehicle crash about 10:45 p.m. Saturday.

 He was operating a southeastbound minivan on State Route 508 near County Road 18 when he lost control on the icy road and drove off the right side of the road, struck a tree and came to rest in a yard.

• Troopers also responded to a one-vehicle rollover crash about 1:50 p.m. Sunday on State Route 47 near Township Road 230.

Bellefontaine squad and engine responded, along with Tri-Valley Fire and EMS. Further information about the crash was not available at press time.  

• Emergency personnel also were dispatched to a report of a two-vehicle crash about 4:20 p.m. Sunday on Snow Valley Road near Mad River Mountain. Further details were not available at press time.
