The first few weeks on the Ohio Supreme Court have been fast paced, but nothing so strenuous as criss-crossing the state on the campaign trail, one of the three newest justices told members of the Logan County Republican Party on Monday.

“If you can ever get over the breath-taking beauty of the building, you find the work is fast-paced and heavy,” Justice Sharon Kennedy said before explaining that she had to read 180 cases in a two-week period and then attend a marathon session in which the seven justices voted on whether to hear the cases.
“What I wasn’t prepared for is the pace at which we went through those votes.”
