Troopers of the Marysville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to a 4-vehicle crash Monday evening on State Route 366 that injured three people and included the transport of one person to a hospital by medical helicopter.
Gary L. Campbell, 56, of Huntsville reportedly was operating an eastbound pickup on S.R. 366 near County Road 38 about 8:20 p.m. when his vehicle struck the rear of an eastbound car operated by Richard Steiner Sr., 56, of Belle Center, which was being towed by a pickup driven by Matthew McKinnon, 26, of Belle Center. Ms. Wolf was transported by CareFlight helicopter to Grant Medical Center in Columbus for incapacitating injuries. She was listed in fair condition Tuesday morning, according to hospital officials.
Mr. Steiner was transported by BMRT squad to Mary Rutan Hospital, also for incapacitating injuries. He was later transferred to Lima Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Campbell also reported injuries, but was not transported. Mr. McKinnon did not report any injuries.
Mr. Campbell was cited for operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. The crash remains under investigation, with other citations pending.
CORRECTION: An earlier version of this story provided an incorrect spelling of Mr. Steiner's name and the direction of travel of the Campbell and Wolf vehicles, based on information from law enforcement.
