Long-time law firms merge

Two of Logan County’s oldest law firms have announced their merger.

The law firm of Thompson, Dunlap & Heydinger Ltd., established in Bellefontaine in 1966, is joining forces with the office of Shirk and Schrader in Lakeview.

Attorney Chris Schrader becomes the newest member of the TD&H firm and will remain at the 185 S. Main St., Lakeview, location where he practiced for more than 37 years with longtime partner, Bill Shirk, who recently retired after 50 years of practice.

Within the next few months, the current Russells Point office of TD&H will be relocated to the former Shirk and Schrader office and attorneys Gabe Wickline and Connor Kinsey will work primarily out of that location.

Rob MacDonald and Chad Ross also will maintain regular business hours at the Lakeview office and Indian Lake Title Agency will continue to operate at the same Lakeview location.

Thompson, Dunlap & Heydinger provides a full range of legal services including corporate and business law, civil litigation, real estate, estate and Medicaid planning, probate administration, construction law, health care law, creditors rights,  personal injury and wrongful death claims, family law and domestic relations.

The firm, which also has an office in West Liberty, also includes local attorneys Tom Heydinger, David Watkins, Howard Traul, Dane Hanna, Terry Stolly, John Bodin, Chris Moell, Josh Stolly and Zebulon Wagner.
