Ryo Nakajima, 30, was transported by MedFlight helicopter to the Wexner Medical Center at The Ohio State University late Thursday evening for incapacitating injuries sustained in a two-vehicle crash.
Troopers of the Marysville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol report that he was operating a southbound car on State Route 739 just north of the Honda Parkway at 10:55 p.m. when he drove left of center. A northbound box truck operated by William Brugh, 49, of Milford Center, tried to take evasive action to avoid the car, but their vehicles collided head-on.
Mr. Brugh was transported by Liberty Township EMS to Memorial Hospital of Union County in Marysville for non-incapaciting injuries.
Both drivers reportedly were wearing their seat belts. Both vehicles sustained disabling damage.
Mr. Nakajima’s address was not immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
