Drug sweep conducted at Riverside Schools

Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office conducted a routine drug sweep at Riverside Local Schools Tuesday, coinciding with the previously reported drug sweep at Indian Lake High School and Middle School that day.

No citations or charges were issued that day as a result of the sweep.

During this procedure, schools operate in a lock-down mode, where students stay in their classrooms with their teachers. This allows law enforcement officers to traverse school hallways and parking lots with a canine and not endanger the safety of students, deputies report.
