Officers from a number of local and regional law enforcement agencies took part Tuesday in an unannounced drug sweep of Indian Lake schools, headed up by the Logan County Sheriff’s Office.
Units were on site at Indian Lake middle and high schools a total of about 45 minutes, with a K-9 officer from Madison County and officers from Dublin Police Department, adjacent counties and local deputies and police, including Bellefontaine officers.
Washington Township Police Chief Rick Core said the K-9 officer hit on one vehicle in the Indian Lake High School parking lot, but only traces of an illegal substance were found; not enough to charge the driver of the vehicle, he said.
School officials are investigating the find internally.
