Drunk driver injured in crash

A Marysville man was hospitalized and charged with drunk driving after he crashed his pickup truck about 5:45 a.m. Friday along State Route 274 a few miles west of U.S. Route 33.

According to troopers from the Marysville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Lloyd Dunlap, 52, of Marysville, was westbound on S.R. 274 when he traveled off the right side of the road and struck a utility pole.

The driver, who reportedly was not wearing a seat belt, was taken by Indian Lake EMS to Mary Rutan Hospital with non-incapacitating injuries.

He was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, failure to control and for not wearing his seat belt.

His pickup truck had to be towed from the scene. Indian Joint Fire District assisted.
