Man treated for injury

Officers are looking into a possible assault in which David Comer sustained a large gash to the left side of his forehead around 10 p.m. Thursday.

Mr. Comer and a named suspect were at Mr. Comer’s 441 Colton Ave. residence when the incident occurred, son Reese Comer told officers.

Mr. Comer was reluctant to press charges or seek medical attention.

Members of a Bellefontaine squad were able to convince him to go with them to Mary Rutan Hospital for treatment.
