Man arrested for theft

Washington Township Police arrested Michael Ansley, 41, of Roundhead, on multiple charges after a brief foot pursuit Thursday evening.

Ansley reportedly had written several fraudulent checks at Indian Lake area businesses.

An officer on patrol spotted and pursued Ansley in a vehicle Thursday afternoon and he was apprehended after a brief foot chase around a barn near Roundhead.

He was charged with theft by deception, resisting arrest, drug abuse, obstructing official business and possession of drugs when a physical search recovered pills packaged for sale. Additional charges are pending and Ansley was lodged in the Logan County Jail.
