Teen drivers escape injury in crash

No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle crash about 7 a.m. Wednesday on Napoleon at Fruit streets in Huntsville.

Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report that Allysia L. Altick, 16, of Huntsville, was attempting to drive her car from a parking space along Napoleon Street when she drove into the path of a westbound car operated by Zachary R. Sparks, 16, of Huntsville. His car then struck Allysia’s driver’s side door.

Allysia was cited for failure to yield.

Both drivers were wearing their seat belts, and both vehicles sustained disabling damage.
