Police wrap up hit-skip crashes

Rebecca Bevington, 39, of 125 W. Brown Ave., was charged Monday with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and cited for failure to stop after a crash and driving without headlights.

Police report she was eastbound on west Court Avenue around 7 p.m. and her car collided with a sport utility vehicle operated by Curtis Butler Jr., 38, of Bellefontaine, who was exiting from the rear of 137 W. Columbus Ave.

She drove off. Officers were able to track her down to her residence.

She failed field sobriety tests and recorded a 0.193 percent blood alcohol level. Officers released her to a sober friend.

Damage was minor to the vehicles.

• Kylee Wren, 22, of Bellefontaine, was cited for failure to control and failure to stop after a crash.

She reportedly backed her car into a parked car in the 200 block of Irving Avenue and drove off around 2:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Damage was minor to the cars, one of which is registered to Treva Stahler of DeGraff.
