Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff responded to a report of a car in an embankment on County Road 5 near County Road 2, which was reported by a passerby.
No one was at the scene with the vehicle, so deputies went to the address of the registered owner, Mr. Scott.
At first, the defendant denied any knowledge of the incident. Deputies noticed that he showed signs of intoxication.
Mr. Scott reportedly was operating the southbound vehicle when he drove off the right side of the roadway, struck a guardrail and trees, and came to rest in the embankment.
He did not report any injuries.
