Reaping the rewards of ‘Paying It Forward’

He believes he’s getting a late start in finding his “purpose in life,” but some would say Dusty Prall is on just the right path at just the right time.

The 2005 Bellefontaine High School graduate is preparing for his second “Pay It Forward” act of kindness — accepting toy and coat donations from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at BHS for distribution through Lutheran Community Services.

Ultimate Fighting Championship star Justin “Fast Eddy” Edwards will be on hand signing autographs.

Mr. Prall, with the help of friends Lance Schmidt, Paul Newland and McKeestown Trading Post, conducted his first food drive in August, amassing 2,619 pounds of food in just seven hours.

“I decided there’s no way we could just stop there,” he said, and he set out to expand on those efforts for the holidays.
