Special agents with the Homeland Security Investigation office out of Columbus served a search warrant Thursday at a home in rural Quincy as part of an ongoing federal criminal investigation, a spokesman with the agency reports.
Documents related to the investigation are sealed for federal court, said Immigration and Customs Enforcement spokesman Khaalid Walls. Therefore, the spokesman said he could not comment on the nature of the investigation.
In addition, authorities also would not provide an address of where the warrant was served.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office provided back-up support to federal agents at the scene.
The search warrant reportedly was executed without incident, and as of Thursday afternoon, no arrests had been made pertaining to the case, Mr. Walls said.
