Support of two upcoming levies was encouraged and replacing the outgoing wastewater treatment plant operator was discussed at the most recent regular meeting of Quincy Village Council.
Both ballot issues are five-year, 3.2-mill questions that, if passed, would generate $17,000 per year. One tax funds the village’s general operating expenses and the other supports street repair and maintenance, snow plowing and potential grant matching funds.
These levies are critical to the operation of the village, council reports.
Anyone with questions should contact the village office, 585-5314.
